FotoFarm Gallery Manager | Upload Image | About/FAQ | My FotoList Menu

Welcome to FloriDazL FotoFarm, Floridata's newest service, where you can save your plant, garden, landscape and nature pictures on the Internet. Once your pictures are up on the FotoFarm they are displayed in your FloriDazL Gallery where you can share them with the online community. Your FloriDazL images can alse be incorporated into Floridata Web Lists or used in other websites anywhere on The Web!

Requirements

To use the FloriDazL service you must:

  1. Be registered as a Floridata Member (click to register).
  2. Be logged in using your member name and password (click to Log In now).
  3. Have Javascript enabled in your browser.
  4. Have images that YOU OWN, or have permission to upload and be willing to share those images with others.
  5. Agree to the Terms and Conditions of this service.

FloriDazL Features

  • upload images of plants, gardens, landscapes, envirornments, - anything to do with outdoor recreation, leisure, the environment, animals and nature.
  • images may optionally be named and described with text and keyword tags
  • images are shared with the online community in each members own FloriDazL Gallery.
  • use FloriDazL images in your Floridata Plant Lists (coming)
  • use your FloriDazL images on 3rd party web sites, blogs, forums and auction sites.
  • the service is FREE to Floridata Members
  • each Member can save up to 1 gigabyte worth of digital images on the FloriDazL FotoFarm server
  • FloriDazL FotoFarm employs the Amazon AWS Simple Storeage Solution (S3) so Member data is stored safely and securely and is easily accessable

FAQs

How many images can I Upload?
For now, each Member is allocated 1 gigabyte of storage in FloriDazL FotoFarm. Depending on the size of the image files uploaded, that comes to about 1,000 to 3,000 images.
How do I access the images once they are uploaded?
To view all of your FloriDazL images go to your Member Gallery. The direct URL to your Member Gallery is: http://wwww.floridata.com/members/membergallery.cfm?membernumber=[your member number here]
What is my Member Number?
This is a number that Floridata assigned to your membername when your registered. To learn your member number go to your Profile where it is displayed beside your member name.
How do I change the name and other information associated with an uploaded picture?
Go to your Gallery Manager page where you can view your images. Click the "edit" link to update the image's information or the "delete" link to permanently remove the image from your Gallery.
What is the URL for the images that I uploaded?
Your images reside in a personal data bucket on the Amazon S3 server that uses your Floridata member number as its name. The URL for each image consists of the name of the service, your member name and the image filename in this format: http://s3.amazonaws.com/Floridata0/1/Sprekelia_formosissima800d.jpg
This first part in bold is the same for every image. The "1" in red is Jack's member number, your images will use your number. The remainder is the filename of the image.

Terms and Conditions

  1. Members may upload only those images that they own.
  2. Members may not upload copyrighted images belonging to others.
  3. All images uploaded are accessable by the entire Web Community.
  4. Members agree NOT to upload images of inappropriate content including images that depict nudity, violence, illegal activities, "adult" topics or that promote commercial products.
  5. FloriDazL is beta software so we cannot guarantee the permanence of the resources or method of access at this time.
